Pulmonary Nodule Risk 2.0.2

The primary features of this application include the Brock and Herder risk prediction models, along with volume doubling time (VDT) calculators, which are endorsed by the British Thoracic Society (BTS) to aid in the diagnosis and management of pulmonary nodules. These tools incorporate relevant BTS recommendations on patient management, providing integrated guidance.

Developed through a collaboration between Cancer Research UK and BTS, the application aims to facilitate clinicians’ access to essential calculators and relevant BTS guidelines related to pulmonary nodule evaluation and management.

The app encompasses four management algorithms derived from the comprehensive BTS guideline document, summarizing key aspects of their recommendations for quick reference.

It is advised that these calculators and algorithms be used in conjunction with the full BTS Guidelines published in 2015 (Thorax 70, Supplement 2) for comprehensive clinical decision-making.
